Does the grade need to be a solid C or better
or could it have been a C-
I took three years I know I passed the last year with As
I just got by with Cs the first two years tho and I don't remember if they were Cs or C-
now I'm freaking out and don't have my HS transcripts(I am going tomorrow to get a copy)
but even that takes 3 days.

I remember reading at my ccc that it had to be C- or high but I may have been wrong now all i says is Proficiency equivalent to two years of high school study in same language.

Get the transcripts and meet up with a counselor at your JC. Find out exactly what your JC requires for satisfying the foreign language requirement. I think you’ll be fine. It’s two years of the same language at a C- in HS for my school but I’ve seen on here that this isn’t the case with everyone.

Hey @sonic23, I’m having a similar issue that you are having now, except I know I got a C- during a semester of Spanish.

If it is the official transcripts that will take a while to arrive to you I recommend asking if you can have a copy of your unofficial transcripts, so you can know right away.

As for your grade, I recommend that you go see an academic counselor right away to try and clear the air so you can either make a plan of action or relax (:

Also, grab an IGETC sheet and see if your college requires a “C” or “C-” (I know at my college it is a “C”).

If there are any UCs that you are applying to in particular that you would like to know about, give them a call or shoot them an email at their admissions offices and see if you can get the information that you need on the language requirement.
