IGETC foreign language (satisfying with high school classes)

IGETC states that you need at least a C (2.0) in two years of a high school foreign language.

If I took French for four years, does it matter which two years I received a C (2.0) or above? Does it have to be the first two in the series, I don't remember it stipulating that it had to be but I want to hear what you guys think?

9th French II B-
10th French III C-
11th French IV A
12th French V A-

i THINK they mean you had to have at least taken 2 years, and have gotten a 2.0 avg. that's what i'm just guessing though

Doesn't really matter, since you have French IV and French V with As. Thats at least two years so you're fine.

You should be fine.

A nice little bit of info for anybody else who might be in this situation: a lot of people don't realize that 1 semester of foreign language in community college = 1 year's credit at UCLA.

Okay thanks guys!

I took 3 years of spanish in high school with A's. I got my official HS transcript and gave it to my JC as proof for fulfililng my foreign language requirement for IGETC. The UCs will see that information when they receive your igetc.
