IGETC question

<p>I am currently at a community college in California and will be applying to transfer in fall 2013. The two UCs that I am hoping to transfer to are UCLA or UCSB, both for Communications. </p>

<p>But my question is this:
Will my chances of being admitted increase if I finish IGETC by the end of fall 2013 or will they be the same compared to if I finished it by the end of spring of 2014?</p>

<p>I think your chances are the same regardless of when you finish IGETC, so long as it’s done before you transfer. Bigger factors are pre-reqs (check assist.org) and GPA.</p>

<p>Completing IGETC is equivalent to completing the GE requirement for the UC. as @failure622 said it, focus on your pre reqs first and foremost.</p>
