on my UC app said yes to the question asking abobut being IGETC certified prior to transfer but this may not be the case. I thought i would be able to take a language test in order to fulfill the language requirment but my school stopped doing that. I will have everything else done, but not the language, even though i am fluent in spanish. is there a chance a school will accept me thinking i will have IGETC done and then not allow me to attend because I dont have the language done?

Did you take spanish in high school? Is your school on the quarter or semester system?

i know that for UCSD for example you can take the language test at UCSD once your admitted in order to waive that requirment.

Couldn't you enroll in another ccc in your area that does have a test and take it there?

i did not take spanish in high school, only a semester of French. I was told even if i took the test at another CC, my school wouldnt put the IGETC stamp on my transcripts. My main concern is that i said i would be IGETC certified and i will not. hopefully they will let me take the course when i get to the UC but my question is will it cause them to overturn their decision. One thing that is assuring is if they look at the classes I have taken and the ones i will take, they must see there are no language classes.

This is a tough one. You might want to call the admissions offices of the UCs you applied to. You can also try to login to the update and uncheck that box (but make sure to provide an explanation in the comments box). But the update may not even work anymore and may not get to the schools, so you need to contact individual UCs.
