We've all heard people snickering that Math II is a 'joke' blah blah. but...
I took IIC (or is it level 2 now?) in Nov and got a 680, which was extraordinarily disappointing. Math is not my forte, but I'm not too bad at it either (In BC, 760 SAT I). My friends of comparable math skillz all got 750+, and I've heard you should score higher than your SAT I score.
So basically...no idea why I'm scoring low on this. On the test I took in Nov., I noticed that I was overanalyzing stuff, and I didn't even get to the last 5 questions.
I got Barron's but I found it was overcomplicated and haven't done much with it.
Any test tips/strategies/good practice tests that could help me in the next 5 days?
Any similar stories or general commiseration for a soul in shock?

uhh im pretty much in the same exact position man. 740 math SAT I... 670 IIC in Oct..... im also retaking this dec. I already have 3 other 700+ SAT2s.... but this 2c nonsense is embarrassing! I'm in Calc AB... yeah i don't know how to really improve.

i like how u said "skillz" haha nice!

well, u can improve by depending on your calculator!

let your calculator do everything

u gotta cheat on math 2c
cheat with ur calculator.
rely on it.

Haha thanks for the tips.
I'm pretty bad at using my calculator( I know I know...it's crazy huh, but my math teachers pretty much disallow calculator use on most stuff)- this might be my main issue.
Any good programs/tips/tricks you guys use?

forget about school math.
dont try to solve problems using formulas or in the "correct" way
plug in answers
i always plugged in 17 for theta on trig questions
i didnt have any programs in my calculator

forget the calculator.. unless you are very familiar with the calculator and every program you are going to use, its not worth it (even then.. I wudnt reccomend anyone ok with math to spend the time getting a program for every type of problem). my approach is always do it by hand unless you absolutely need the calculator, most of the time I find it faster to do everything by hand.
being in calculus BC, you should be able to handle all the problems w/o the calculator (unless you are doing 23243*34323).
I did SAT Is w/o the calculator (brought one.. just didnt use it) and only used graphic on 2 iic problems (used scientific on about 4 of them)
