Hello, everyone! I’m an Indian high school student applying to colleges in the US. I haven’t taken the APs but I had joined a coaching institution for IIT. The institution offered 12 hour classes every week for 2 years. I wanted to ask if this will help if my counselor mentions it in my application? The course is very difficult because it prepares you for an exam which gets you into a very renowned college in india.
Probably not. US colleges won’t care that you’re taking extra prep for the IIT exam.
APs would probably be better for US colleges.
Crap…I was wondering the same thing. I’ve been attending coaching classes for two years as well, except for me it was about 20 hours a week lol
I was kind of hoping it might help to explain my blatant lack of extracurriculars after 10th grade
