I'll chance back!

<p>My previous chance thread did not work out and I really want to update the college list.</p>

<p>Also, if my stats aren't up to scale for any of these scores, please tell me what I can do to change it! </p>

<p>Here it is:
John Hopkins
Berkeley
Cooper Union (plan on early decisioning this school. Pretty early on deciding, but Cooper's been my favorite school since like sophomore year)
Columbia</p>

<p>RISING JUNIORR :)</p>

<p>With these Stats in mind, how will I do?</p>

<p>I will be applying for Engineering</p>

<p>Rank: 9 out of 398. Public School.
SAT: CR: 650, M: 750, W: 600 (SAT will definitely be higher. I haven't take the real one yet. But working my butt off. Aiming for 2200+)
AP: Calc AB, Lang, Bio (Self Study), Computer Sci (Self Study) My school offers <5 AP classes, so I take as much as I can take in a year, without schedule conflicts and whatnot.
SAT2: Will take both Physics and Math 2. Predicted score for Math 2 will be 750+. Physics, have't started yet, but will take it at the end of school year, or midyear.
GPA: (uw) 3.83 (w) 4.33 </p>

<p>I am the interact club cofounder and vice president, french club member and secretary, green club treasurer and member, AcDec member, Calculus Club member, NHS</p>

<p>Awards in Runner up for HOBY leadership, participated in RYLA Leadership Conference, got 1st place in Skit making, Got 3rd place overall in Super Quiz, got 2nd place overall in county math competition.</p>

<p>I volunteer on tutoring in math, teacher aid during my free time at school. By the end of this year, my community service hours will most definitely be above 100+ hours</p>

<p>Also I will be interning for Biomed this summer at State school. I plan on volunteering at a local hospital or some other health-related job. </p>

<p>I have good recommendation letters from all teachers.</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance at getting into these colleges. The only things I’d work on are raising your GPA a bit, getting more EC’s or awards, and, as you said, working your butt off for the SATs. I’ll be doing likewise!</p>

<p>Thank you!!</p>

<p>Please any others? :(</p>

<p>Get your gpa up to 3.9+ UW, get that 2200 SAT, find your passion and really involve yourself in that (in terms of ECs). With all of this, then you’ll have solid chances for all of those schools. You are on the right track though, for sure! Chance me back please! <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1372710-chance-me-emory-ed-1-please-recommend-other-schools.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1372710-chance-me-emory-ed-1-please-recommend-other-schools.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>It’s hard to tell your chances to get into a college after only 2 years of high school, as your junior year plays a huge role in your application.
That being said, you definitely seem to be on the right track. You have a rigorous schedule, your GPA is fantastic, and your EC’s so far look strong.
Definitely make sure you do better on the SAT, as your scores now would hurt your application quite a bit. 2200+ is a great goal, just make sure you hit it!
Also, becoming involved with more EC’s is never a bad thing. Right now what seems to be missing is a passion, as gthopeful93 commented…finding a passion and really getting involved in one thing above all others after school is something colleges like to see, as it shows what you would bring to their campus. However, your EC’s seem pretty good as is, and your grades are fantastic!
Good luck with junior year, stay on the right track! :D</p>
