As an OOS student, are you able to pay the full amount of tuition/room/board for UCLA and UCB, which is $55K??

You also need to calculate your UC GPA using the UC approved a-g courses, up to 4 AP classes Soph/Junior year only to get the extra Honors points in the calculation.

<a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Your ACT is very competitive, but what you need is also a UC GPA around 4.0+ to have a chance at UCLA/UCB.

Good Luck

UMichigan- Match
UCLA- High match
UCB- Low reach

UCs, like Gumbymom said, consider your UC GPA. I estimate yours to be around 3.9-4.0, and based on those I would chance you for the above.

So my UC GPA is a 4.14 and do UC’s not look at freshman year grades?

UCs don’t. UCB is still a low reach based on your ACT, but you’re a little more competitive.

Here are the AP’s I took
Sophomore year: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Psychology
Junior year: Biology, World History
Do you think this matters?

That GPA is reallyyy low for UCB/UCLA and your ACT is right at their 50% percentile, which is not bad but not that great. I say low reach for both.

University of Michigan - Match (Not too sure tho because I’m not too knowledgable about this school. Just quickly researched)
UCLA/UCB - Low Reach (ECs don’t seem to be very competitive)

UC’s do not use Freshman grades for the UC GPA calculator, but you still report your grades and the courses are used to determine eligiblity since you need your a-g courses such as English, Science, Language etc… to fulfill the minimum UC requirements.

UMich: Match (If you were out OOS it’d be a high match/low reach in my opinion)
UCLA/UCB: Low Reach
Please chance me back.

Big Blue: Accepted
UCLA: Accepted
UCB: Rejected
