<p>Sorry to say but try to pick some honest extracuriculars that you care about rather than a large list to send to colleges. It’s physically imposible to do so many things and Cornell admisions are going to know that. Pick maybe 5 top great things you were interested in most of the time and speak of those. The others you throw in are going to be known that you just never paid much mind to them and only put them on the list to make yourself look good. This is my honest response here, I’m not sugar coating. Admissions for you look good, but honest as well and your chances improve.</p>

<p>First of all, your backup school is an excellent choice. Your sat scores match the schools criteria, however, the same scores are way too low for some of the colleges you listed… Harvard and Princeton. I think an optimal school for you would be NYU and Cornell. They seem to look closely at extracurriculars and you are definitely proficient in those. So try to retake the sat because you will not have a chance at Harvard with those scores. Good luck. And can you chance me in this thread…

<p>Assuming that you’re instate (VA), you will almost certainly get into UVA, W&M and 100% at VCU & Tech. The fact that you’re an immigrant is really unique and will make for great essays/personal statements. You definitely have a higher than average shot at the Ivies, but it’s almost impossible to measure,even though you are a very strong candidate. Good Luck! Chance me back please??
