I'll chance you guys if you chance me :D

Here is where I've applied. Think I'll actually get in anywhere?

Public high school in PA

GPA: 3.81 UW
SATs - 650CR 630M 700W = 1980 T
Subject Tests: 670 Bio 570 US History 570 German

Mostly Honors courses, with regular level in Science, and intermediate in math.
Previously took AP Stat

Senior Schedule
AP Biology
Latin I
APUSH
AP Economics
AP German
Honors Humanities
Regular Calculus

Midyear Report: In short, it's going to suck. I have almost straight B's this year. Sigh, I just overloaded myself. I didn't realize that all those AP's plus thirty hours of work each week plus college apps would suck so bad. My senior year GPA is a 3.5, so if this'll kill me at any of these schools, let me know.

Extracurriculars:

-Treasurer of the Student Historians Club - we participated in a Walking Tour, where we take elementary school kids around town and show them historical sites. We also worked with disabled kids and made them crafts and whatnot.

-Work as a cashier/customer service person 30-32 hours a week. I've had the job for over a year.

-Quizbowl during tenth grade

-National Honor Society

-won second place at the German Fallfest Competition at Millersville University

-scored in the 85 percentile on the AATG German exam

Schools:

Millersville University (Honors College + Scholarship?)
Barnard College (interviewed)
George Washington University
NYU CAS
University of Maryland CP (applied priority)
Florida State University (scholarship?...maybe?...probably not ><)
Franklin & Marshall College (will interview)
Gettysburg College (will interview)

Major: Undeclared

Thankssssss. I shall chance back!

I dont see a problem with any of those except NYU being a small reach. The rest are good matches and your gpa and SAT are good enough for those places definitely. I dont want to be rude, but if your school isnt weighting your calc credit, they should because its a college level class and you learn the same stuff as you would in AP so i dont see the reason for a "regular" calculus class

Yeah, I don't know why they don't weight the calc class. My school does a lot of weird things. Thanks for chancing. I'll chance you back.

bump10char

Bumpppppppppppppppppppppp

Hmm...you should be ok except at Barnard and NYU where you might be borderline. Your EC's are nothing special and your scores are little low for those schools. But you definitely have a shot!

Best of luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/638539-i-wish-i-could-think-something-clever-catch-your-eye-but-here-chance-me.html

I honestly dont see a problem with any of these except NYU and George Washington in terms of SAT's. Your GPA is fine for both of them but in terms of SAT's I'm not entirely sure. Classes are fine as well. Don't worry about your Midyear report colleges dont tend to punish applicants that hard cause they know this is crunch time for college and school comes second so...Good Luck!.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/630384-hello-everyone-please-chance-me-i-am-very-worried.html

I think most of them shouldn't be a problem, except maybe Barnard and possible NYU CAS. I think you're in for GWU, though. Midyear report makes me a bit worried, though.. try to bring your scores up with upcoming midterms, possibly?

You look good for these schools all around, except NYU is a bit iffy because of scores and EC's. You should get into pretty much all of these. Good luck!

Chance me please! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621725-took-risk-blew-any-hope-left.html

I'm only really familiar with NYU, and I'd have to second the fact that your scores are a little on the low side for NYU.

Your ECs definitely have a "laundry list" vibe to them (again, talking for NYU). So, NYU may be a slight reach.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/626211-chance-brown-princeton-cornell-cmu-etc.html

Barnard and NYU might be slight reaches, but you have impressive stats. Best wishes =).

Barnard and NYU are reaches for you because of your mediocre SATs and bad mid-year report. However, your GPA might be able to cover you.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/636935-chance-me-my-favorite-schools-i-will-chance-back.html

What does 10char and bump mean?

I think the only school you may have some trouble with is NYU, but with your scores and GPA it's not that big of a reach. All the others should be fine.
