...That's called your transcript.

Yeah, we weed to have this thread locked. SAT is quite hard for me. V.V
Man, you have to think baout another 5,000 or more I don't know who take this freaking test. Come on, you are smart but some aren't!

That if collegeboard make another test? Can we all blame you?

Example:SKCTO test (Smart Kid can take only)
SHE (Super Hard Exam)?

What should we do if college give credit to those tests more than reg SAT or SAT or ACT or whatever it is?

Wait, I just have few questions about the original post.
soooo, the SAT scores are more like a qualification thing?
like if I get enough scores on each sections the adcoms don't bother looking after? or is it more like a tie-breaker for two highly competitive applicants?

"...Each section should be part multiple choice, part short answer, and part long essay/problem solving. And the short answer questions and essays should be most important, and should ask very difficult conceptual questions."

Illinois, I think they call these "AP exams" or for some schools, IB tests. Maybe the grading should be tougher (it's pretty easy to get 5s on most APs), but otherwise, they fit your description exactly. Besides, the SAT only tests 3 subjects, and it's already 3.5+ hours. If College Board created an uber-hard, comprehensive exam of ALL subjects, it would take 300 pages and half a day of testing to create a fair and comprehensive evaluation. Students would be brain-dead or asleep after the first few hours.

Think of the average high shooler. Not the average CCer, the average high schooler. From that perspective, the SAT is not easy.

I think an SAT-III type thing for students who score above 2200 would be a good idea.

^you would support an SAT III?! You're a sick person

I support things that support me. The SAT is going to get me into a good school. An SAT-III would help even more. Sue me.
