Illinois institute of technology,please help.

hi all
I am an international student, currently I am in Syria and I am going to graduate from high school in June this year so I planed to continue my education in the US .
my main plane was to go to Cleveland state university to study Electrical engineering but,I knew about IIT recently and they are providing scholarships for Syrian Students "25 k" so I am thinking seriously about going there.
my dad can pay for me about 15 thousands dollars per year and if I can get the scholarship ,the amount will be 40 k ,my uncle will help me too with 5-7 k so the final amount is about 45 k a year.

is 45 k enough?? I mean is it enough to cover the tuition and the living cost??

let's suppose I am going to work while studying ,how many hours am I allowed to work per week?? considering I am an international student and according to my information the IS is allowed to work for about 15 hours a week??

waiting for answers.

45k per year is not enough for IIT. You need around 50k.

Why can’t you just go to Cleveland ? Its a lot cheaper. Besides, its pretty late to apply to IIT now.

I think its around 20 hours per week.

Tuition is about $36K and room and board about another $15K so $50K is about right. international students can work on campus up to 20 hours.

IIT has rolling admissions at this time of year so it is certainly possible to apply. My suggestion is to contact the Admission office directly about these scholarships and see what they tell you about the total cost. I can tell you about the programs and give you a good idea of how strong the individual departments are but the financial side is out of my realm of expertise.
