Does it annoy anyone else that the PSAE ACT scores are not made available before registration for the June ACT? I'm sitting here, with four hours remaining to register for the June ACT unsure if I should take it!!! If I knew my PSAE score, I would be able to make a final decision.

UGH.

You need to go ahead and register. The Illinois test didn’t have writing, so you should register.

Even if it came back in two weeks would it be ready by now?

Retake in June.

My son received his scores in the mail today :-)

3anddone ~ Your son just received the scores for the April 24th test? I checked our mail and my daughter’s scores have not come yet.

Yes! I was totally surprised when I opened the mail today. He improved his score by 1 point so we are thrilled! He doesn’t really want to take it again so I guess we are staying put with a 31. So sad he doesn’t have writing with this test.

What a wonderful surprise that you got your son’s scores already. Hopefully ours will come tomorrow. I know, my daughter was sad that this test didn’t include the writing portion as well. I wish they would have at least given the students the option to pay for it themselves. Congrats on such a great score for your son! A 31 is a wonderful score ~ you should be very proud.

Great news on test in mail! I looked online and it hasn’t shown up yet.

I hope my score comes soon, can’t wait! Btw will it come in the mail to my school and my house?

I was not one of the lucky kids to receive their score in the mail today! Do you think that it’s possible that I could get it tomorrow, or will I have to wait until next Monday?!

The scores will come in the mail to your home address. I called ACT to see why they were not online yet, they said it would take an additional week or so.
Good luck!

I got my scores in the mail today, and so did many other kids at my school. good luck :)

My scores are online, I just checked. Not the scores I was looking for. Oh well, there was no writing anyway

DD’s scores were online this a.m also. 33 Composite - four points better than the National ACT a couple weeks earlier. The national test seemed particularly hard in Math and Science, at least to her and many of her friends - she had been testing in the 32-33 range at Huntington the week before.

The schools she is looking at will take the best composite score for scholarship and admissions purposes. She just needs to send her other results which included a writing test. I have seen it mentioned that a few ultra-elite colleges insist upon the writing and composite score be on the same test - but not many.

But still, Illinois was stupid not to allow you to pay extra to take the writing.

So the scores from the April 24th test are now online? I just checked my daughter’s account and only the scores from the April 14th test are showing up.

ChicagoBear ~ I so agree w/you that it was such a shame that they didn’t allow the students to pay that extra $10 more on their own in order to take the writing portion during the April 24th test. My daughter thought that as a whole, the April 24th test was so much easier than the April 14th test. She got a 30 composite for the April 14th test and is really hopeful that she did even better than that on the April 24th test. She is so anxious to get her scores! Hopefully they will come in the mail today.

Sweet! Got my scores online, 34 composite
35 Eng
33 math
33 reading
35 sci
Gotta retake still tho, I need the writing part.

LadyHam - hopefully you should have your scores tomorrow. Someone also indicated that they received them in the mail yesterday (we didn’t). Good luck to your daughter! I would expect a nice increase in her composite. My DD knew she did well compared to April National test.

I just checked the mail and my daughter’s scores for the April 24th test haven’t come yet. I then tried to check her online account again, and it is giving me a message that her account is not available and to wait a full business day to try to log in again. What? I checked her online account earlier today and had no trouble loging on. Has this ever happened to anyone before? What is going on?

Okay, I just called ACT and they said that some accounts might be down because there is an overload to the system because all the scores from the April 24th test are currently being downloaded. They said everything was fine w/her account and to just check back tomorrow morning. So, if anyone else gets a similar message, do not worry. Everything is just fine. They said to keep checking back on Wednesday and Friday mornings for the scores from the April 24th test. Just wanted to share so that no one else freaks out like I just did!

Just wanted to add that they told me that you should see the scores online before you receive them in the mail. If you get your scores by mail and still don’t see them online, you should call them because a second account might have been created for the April 24th scores. This would happen if during the registration process for the April 24th test if anything different was filled in like a different email address for example. Again, just wanted to share the information that I learned w/everyone here.
