Recently admitted to Illinois Tech for undergraduate architecture along with $25,000 scholarship. I have heard mixed reviews about this school. Is this school worth attenting?
Thanks!
What do you want to know specifically. I can give you the faculty perspective however, I am in the physics department and not in architecture.
As with any university, you get out of it what you put into it. I have seen students who take advantage of every opportunity and others that just drift. If you take your education seriously and make the right contacts, IIT is very good for architecture because of our location. You need to look carefully at the curriculum and see if it matches your needs. Then you need to make sure it is affordable. If those conditions are met than you can do very well here.
Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know how many freshmen are admitted for architecture each year at IIT?
Actually, I do. Over the past few years, between 150 and 200 have been admitted and the entering class is right around 50. There are a significant number of transfers too.
Thank you!
