So,here’s the thing.i was not even aware of the existence of this college up until the day of its deadline.therefore,i had to fill the application in 1.5 hours to make sure I didn’t cross the deadline and,as a result,my essay was not on par with my standards and it’s been freaking me out ever since!
I’m an Indian(an international student)and here are my credentials:
Sat I-2100 (I’m taking it again one last time in January and shall try to push it to 2250 at least)
Sat II-2300(Chem-780,Math level 2-770,physics-750)
Toefl-110/120
Gpa-97% (we have percentages here)
Rank-1%
Extracurriculars-conducted research with some prominent professors from India and Singapore,discovered a few things,a paper published;
Community service-working with disabled children and orphans for 7 years
Debate,shuttle badminton team president;
Awards-Received a scholarship from the government of India which would’ve covered all my expenses,had I studied at an Indian college-for being the top 100 percentile in the country;
Also received another opportunity from ISRO(the Indian equivalent of NASA) to be a part of their space program for being one of the the top 100 percentile of students in my state.
So,Do I have a chance?can the rest of my application make up for the mediocrity of my essay?assuming,I score something around 2300 on my SAT-1 in January.
