Illinois

Anyone have any recommendations for good "Pre-Med" schools in Illinois? I am hoping to major in either biochemistry or Chemistry with a possible Spanish minor.

Thanks!

Stats: GPA: 3.8-3.9, 10/169

ACT: estimate of 28; hoping for 30

ECs:
Varisty Soccer (all 4 years)
Outdoor Club (Leadership Position)
Renissance Team (grades)
Students for Students (community service club)
WYSE Team
Fall Play
and many others

Doesn’t anyone look at pinned threads anymore?

Take both the ACT and SAT…some do better on the SAT.

Have you talked to your parents about how much they’ll spend each year on college? your budget may largely determine where you should go to college.

The state of IL has many fine choices from its better state schools to good privates (UChicago ( a reach), Loyola Chicago, DePaul, etc).

Need to get ACT higher, some schools might be out of your range (unless you have a hook). In addition, yes, financial side is not clear, since Merit scholarships might not be there, unless there is improvement in ACT/SAT. UChicago is impossible to get into for very top applicants to Med. School, I do not know about UG.
