Illustrator/graphic Design Canadian Student! Help!

Hello, I'm a grade 11 (junior?) high school student in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and I'm trying to narrow down art universities to apply to.

I'm stuck between illustration and graphic design, so I need some recommendations for both majors. Since I'm Canadian, I'm not too familiar with art schools in the States (Pratt, Parsons, Art Center and RISD I am familiar with).

Please help! I've always wanted to study art in the States!

this is from what ive just personally seen.

for illustration, syracuse is amazing( i went here for 2 years, and was constantly amazed by the illustration department. those kids can seriously draw, not to mention communicate. ) . risd is also amazing.

graphic design wise, i just posted in another thread, but research what kind of design you want to do, otherwise you might be disappointed once you get somewhere.. but what i consider the best design departments are: risd, calarts, saic, art center and mica

For graphic design I think RISD is the best, but I heard the student body there is really competitive and snotty, then again its better to judge for yourself than to let others judge for you. Tinycities's list seems correct from what i've read and heard.

I just posted a fairly thorough review of graphic /digital programs which can be found here:
