ILR ED Chances?

<p>Im applying ed to ilr so if anyone has any advice or could chance me please. </p>

<p>95 out of 100 unweighted gpa
course load: school doesn't have aps but took 1 of 3 accelerated courses
33 ACT composite (35 E 28 M 35 R 33 S) one sitting
SAT 2s 730 World History, 730 US History and taking USH again in October
Class Rank 28/417 in a pretty competitive NY catholic high school </p>

<p>ECS
Varsity Volleyball
Vice President of Economics Club
President of Culinary Club
Officer of Social Studies Club
Summer internship with my State Senator (50+ hours)
Went to a weeklong civil war institute for last 3 summers (90 hours each year) </p>

<p>Essays
CA- Event that made me mature/ transition to adultood- Talked about speaking with someone who is in the career field I want to go into and how it made me realize that Im ready to take the next step in life (sounds better in actual essay). </p>

<p>ILR Supplement- Talked about my interests in economics and labor unions/relations as a sports fan and how my moms a teach in a union and how that affects my daily life and how i could research and learn more about those interests in the ilr curriculum. </p>

<p>Recommendations
One from volleyball coach who also had me for class in bio and chem and is my guidance counselor (he said it will be amazing)
One from my American History teacher who is one of the moderators of the economics club (he said he will talk about how my interests in the economics club and in AH class relate to ilr)<br>
One from the NYS Senator who I interned with over the summer
Hooks
None I'm white male from NY- maybe in state helps? </p>

<p>Honestly, I think you have a better than even chance of getting in. I’m applying to ILR as a transfer. Good luck to you!</p>

<p>@MOHighschooler From what I’ve heard ILR accepts a lot more transfer students that the other 6 Cornell schools so u probably have a good shot at getting in. </p>

<p>Your test scores are great! All of your EC and your interest seem to fit very well with ILR. You’ll be very competitive for ED. Hope we both get in! @mattmets24</p>
