4.07 weighted GPA 3.8 uw
(I’m a bit worried because there are a few B’s in my transcript, 2 in math and in French. I also went to a school that doesn’t offer AP, but my senior year is almost all dual credit courses)

4/47 rank
34 ACT
1400 New SAT

Athletics:
Varsity soccer for 4 years
Captain of Alpine Ski racing, competed in states

Academic extracurricular:
Competed nationally at a trivia competition
Won a new york state wide trivia competition
Columnist for my town newspaper
Founding member and lead of our schools plays
Volunteer for our town Cornell Co op extension

Civic work
Have an internship in our local government for class credits
Volunteered for several local candidates(won’t get into detail here for privacy)

Essay- I feel was pretty good. I focused a lot on my connection to the curriculum and my time volunteering for political campaigns

Letters- I think my two teachers wrote good letters, one also happened to be my quiz bowl coach too so she talked about my participation in the team. I also had two extra letters of rec, one from the leader of my county government internship, the other my uncle who is alumni.

Just wondering if someone could ballpark a rough estimate of my chances. The B’s in my record and unimpressive rank scare me.

@Sgtpepper13 Your ACT is significantly better than your SAT (I would suggest not sending if it is not too late). You’re in the top 10%, so that looks alright. You look solid based on some other chance threads I’ve seen. The acceptance rate to Cornell is 14%. Good Luck.

I already sent them due to the automatic score report system, thanks for the insight though!
