Was the notification by email or snail mail?

snail mail

Yeah I heard that people who were deferred to ILR and Hotel received notification through snail mail on the 5th last year.

I was deferred and I just checked my mailbox… nothing. Do all of the ED Deferrees who are accepted RD get notified early? Or is that only for a select few?

Good question!

For those accepted, where do you live? Has anyone from NYC heard back yet?

SoccerWolf, that is a good question. If you were deferred ED to ILR and don’t get a decision today by snail mail are we to assume that you were rejected and will be told on March 29th. Cause that would be real depressing!

That is what I’m dreading… I’m from NJ so I would assume that I’d get it.

I live on Long Island and got my RD acceptance today. I spoke to an alum after I got the letter, and he said that a minority find out this early, as most people have to wait a few more weeks. Don’t sweat it, if they already sent out all of their acceptances, they wouldn’t leave everyone else in the dark.

Applied on January 1st as a regular decision applicant and got in the hotel school. Congrats to everyone else who got in, and for those that are still waiting, just hang in there.

I asked this in another thread, but I dont’ think anyone has seen it yet…

Can someone who has been accepted and heard word via snail mail check their online status for me? I’m curious if it’s worth the trip of me walking down to my mailbox. lol. I was offered a UCSB Regent’s scholarship last week, but my online status is still listed as under review for that school, so I’d like to see if this is possibly the same. Thanks!

i agree with @IAMMARS

if you applied ED and haven’t heard back, don’t worry, there’s hope you can be accepted come the 29th…

last year there was no change in the online portal.

From my ED experience, I’m pretty confident that Cornell doesn’t post the notification on that status page. They’ll probably send you another link.

Once again… anyone know if you applied ED (then deferred) and didn’t get in today, can you still get in?

I applied ed to ILR and was deferred, and now i can’t log into my self service portal, for those who were accepted, can you guys log in or not? thanks

My student applied to ILR regular decision and got a letter of acceptance in the mail today.

Online status does not show the acceptance.

FYI: Here is the site to check your online decisions. It says RD will come out on the 29th, so I guess it’s more relevant for the people who haven’t applied to ILR or Hotel.
