ILR Transfer App question.

On the common app they ask for "why do you want to transfer," yet ILR asks for a "why do you want to transfer to ILR." Are these one in the same or should I be preparing two distinct essays.

your 'why ILR' essay should be much more specific. I wrote both back when Cornell used the old application. Writing one and not the other may be risky, unless it's totally unnecessary ... while writing both (even if one isn't necessary) and writing both very well and both very different can be a nice boost to your application

for the why do you want to transfer just talk about what you aren'y liking about your current school, and what cornell could offer you that your current school doesn't and waht you like about Cornell. for the "why ILR essay," discuss your own interest in ILR-related subjects and why ILR is the right fit for you.
