Ilr

johnzen - you may be a great fit for ILR, in particular the department of international and comparative labor.

the department website his here:
<a href="http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/academics/icl.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/academics/icl.html</a></p>

mingle around there for a bit.

Ok, now I'm confused. Doesn't every graduate of ILR have the same major? Or are there various majors within the school?

everyone graduates with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, but there are many ways in which you can concentrate your studies. Law, and human resources are the most popular

A "concentration" is like what a "minor" is at other colleges. So you graduate with the ILR major, but you can have a concentration in ____

i dont think the ilr 'concentrations' are official, but the general theme is you get the degree in ILR which includes a vast array of classes. Your transcript will show off the track you decided to take for employees and grad schools. You can pick a department in ILR to take the majority of your classes in, or not.

in ILR, you can have a concentration in something like english or history in arts.

Thank you for all of this information. I think I speak for all of us reading it when we say we really appreciate it.

Would anyone (everyone?) who applied Regular Decision to ILR last year post what date you were notified of the decision? Thanks.

and can any EOP ILRers give me a hint on what their Stats were??
really appretiate it
