Which stat class would be easier?

I would think the ILR one would be

PAM’s easiest.

AEM is taught by Cindy Van Es who is a great prof though.

One of my roommates took ILR stats and it was very… theoretical from what I could tell.

theoretical? O_O

from what i heard it’s very applied… (no idea though)

Can ILR students take PAM stats instead of ILR stats?

I’ve heard that ILR stat is very paper based – in that you write papers on statistics and do less like “problem sets” and stuff like that.

I think that I’ve heard AEM is the easiest, then PAM/ILR, but I guess it depends on if you’d rather do problem sets or papers.

My guess is ILR would be easier since AEM attracts people that are better at math. I can only comment from experience that ECON 3190/3200 are indeed quite difficult, and also quite theoretical. From what I can tell, PAM/ILR/AEM stats seem to be roughly similar to AP stats, which shouldn’t be all that hard no matter which department you take it with.
