I'm a 4.0 student and an ACT that got voided... Does this hurt my future?

So, I was dismissed early from the ACT today. After the Science test, the man in charge of the test voided my test because he said a monitor saw me fill in a bubble after the time was up. I never heard them call time because the room was so big and they were so quiet. Of course, the first time taking the test, I get voided, although the girl with her phone constantly going off in front of me never got in trouble. Anyway, does this “VOID” hurt my future? Does the score show up as a 0 or nothing? and I don’t know if they will have to fill out an irregular report, but does that also hurt me? What all happens to me now?

That sucks but no, it wont affect your future. just take it again.
Lesson learned. get there early and sit in the front of the room so you can hear them call " time"

Your test is cancelled, no score will be issued and ACT will not send anything to colleges to even indicate you took the test.

Thanks, guys! Making me feel better.

You should be fine! Next time, just remember missing one question is better than voiding a test though!
Don’t worry though, the CB is usually pretty lax with their rules, unless it’s a severe violation.

Most colleges won’t be able to see it either (and even if they did, I doubt they would care)…just don’t do it again, bring a watch that doesn’t make noises with you next time.

Good luck on the next ACT! At least you will have more time to study more and raise your score.
