The title says it all. Mostly helpful for transfer students, but I can cast some insight on some general questions you might have.
hey! i’m currently a rising sophomore who’s looking to transfer to BU in the spring semester.
do you know whether it’s possible to apply for transfer as a double major within different schools? (i’m most likely trying to do a double major in music ed. and business/accounting concentration) i’ve contacted admissions to ask about it, and the lady told me that it was possible to apply for transfer as a double major (and that it was possible to apply for the questrom school of business for spring semester). however, i’ve gotten a mix of information when i go to different sites (on the questrom school site, it says they admit spring transfers, but on the ‘majors/minors by college’ page, it says that every major within the business school doesn’t allow spring admission). today, i was trying to fill out the common app questions for spring 2020 transfer, and it only allows you to select one major (and the questrom school of business isn’t an option either, it only appears as an option for fall 2020 transfer). sorry that this is such a mess of information, but i’m kind of frustrated with all the different information i’ve found and any info that you could give to me would be really helpful!
I would apply under one major and then do an internal transfer into whichever dual programs you want to pursue. If admitted, talk to your advisor and see what can be done.

Things working for me:
Great recommendations + recommendation from Professor of desired major who is now an Assistant Provost of General Education
I feel like I might have an easier chance due to not many people being interested in Archeology as I am
Upward spiral with grades
Current Massachusetts state school does not have Archeology Major
I plan on applying to the College of Arts and Sciences: Archeology

Things Against me:
Bad High School GPA
Taking 4 classes this semester but 5 next semester! Including Anthropology 101
Flat out hard to get into
