For all you newly admitted Trojans, hit me up with whatever you want to know about the school, dorm life, Greek life, etc. Hopefully I can sway some of you guys to make the best decision of your life and commit to the University of Southern California.

Hey, would you be able to tell me what the general attitudes/vibes of each of the freshman residence halls are? Thanks!

Do you know anything about the NPHC groups on campus?

How high can a bed be lofted in a dorm?

. What would you say are the worst things about USC

What is one thing you wish you hadn’t done or would recommend not doing at USC

What are somethings about USC that you would never find out until you got there

. Besides the price, what are some reasons why people leave USC

What is a short synopsis about the types of people in each of the dorms (Marks,New/North, Birkrant, Trojain, Pardee)

Which dorm is best, and then which is closest to Annenberg

Thanks

Salutations & many thanks for your offer of counsel
If you have knowledge of this aspect of campus life, what would be the best dorm for freshman Marshall students?

Do you know anyone in the freshman science honors program? Do they like it?

I’d like to be social, but I don’t necessarily want to party all the time, which dorm would you recommend?

What are the Arts and Humanities dorms like? Those dorms seem the nicest but Im getting that they are not very social but i might be wrong.

Is it hard to get a single room?

Parkside Arts and Humanities (I think I typo’d Parkside A&L incorrectly in another post) is a super nice building. Really new, clean, air-conditioned and good size rooms with great windows. They are on one edge of campus versus being more central and they are suite style, which many really like cause they aren’t sharing the big bathroom with a floor of people. But some like those traditional dorms, so you just have to decide what you like. ^Yes it is hard to get single room, just do a good job on your profile and you will get a great room-mate. Parkside A&H is totally different building and profile of students than Parkside IRC. Parkside IRC is not nearly as social as Parkside A&H.
