Well my combined score was 155. I hadn't studied a day in my life, and I was given no instructions for taking the actual test. So that being said I answered every question, when if I had known I would have skipped quite a few. (embarrassing I know) But I was just wondering how much of an impact that probably made. Thanks a bunch!

If you have a score sheet, it should tell you how many you got wrong and if you lost points because of wrong answers.

Thanks! I’ll try to see if I can find it!

Take some practice tests and you’ll get that score up in no time. I’d recommend studying this summer and taking it as a sophomore. While it won’t count towards National Merit, it will help you to get a feel for how you would do when fully prepared come junior year. I worked through about 5 PSAT prep books and went from a 205 to a 230 on the real thing.

Thanks! I’ve learned so much this year, and studied I’m confident that if I took it today I could get at least 190!

As far as I know, the PSAT has no hold on college. Just study hard for the ACT and take it multiple times.

The PSAT may not directly influence college admissions, but it affects National Merit status - which may boost your admissions chances/financial aid considerably depending on the school.
