I'm a GT, got below a B. Have a question.

My midterm grades came back, all good except one grade below a B. Didn't Fail it or anything. I'm an ILR GT, anyone have any experience with this? Did I lose my GT? All because of one test i took on a bad day? This class is not required by ILR at all.

there was somebody on here last year who did get below a B in one class and didn't get in as a result. Call them up and ask what this may mean for you.

i know in CALS you can get the non-required classes above a B and at least a 3.0 GPA, because if all classes had to be a B, isn't that the same thing as getting a 3.0? this was for CALS though, idk about your college's 3.0 requirement

Question:
What if I get below a B on some other class (not a requirement)?

But I still have a B or better on all my 7 requirements (2 econ, 2 eng, 3 others).

(IRL GT)

:(

ILR Gt's have to get a 3.3 and above all B's for whoever wants to know.

But damn that sux, it's making me nervous too. One of my classes only has one essay done the entire semester. And he likes to give Freshman bad grades to "teach them a lesson" (From his mouth). I'm a bittt nervous lol.

But anyway I'd definitely talk to the teacher. Tell him that it's ur entire future on the line and u'll do anything to raise ur grade and would try insanely hard on all future tests. Beg if that's wat it takes. If that doesn't work call Ian and try to work it out. GL!!

ya as mentioned, if you are on good terms with your teacher and you know he/she is willing to help you…then pleading and begging or crying (if you so choose) come in rather handy…haha! lol otherwise, when I spoke with Ian a while back, he said that you don’t always end up with the most agreeable teacher… so if that’s the case you can write about your experience or other events that caused you to get that grade! talk to your teacher and Ian… I’m sure it won’t be a big deal especially if it’s one of the non-core classes you’re dealing with! Hope things work out ;)

^Thanks.
I am willing to beg and plead if necessary.

Last term, I took Physics as my science/technology (whatever) requirement. When finals came along, I was shook. Why did I take Physics when I could have taken something like Media Studies and gotten an easy A? I told the teacher my situation and I luckily survived.

Unfortunately, this semester, I'm stuck with 2 very indifferent professors who basically hate their jobs.

GL. Explain it to your professor.

BTW, anyone on PageOut? It's a class announcement/HW website.

Hey everyone, thanks for your input. Some important info, if your sub-b grade is on your midterm grades, so long as on your FINAL transcript you have all over B's and over a 3.3, then you're in regardless of what happened mid semester. After all these are not official grades. Moreover, I will be speaking to my professor, I have an actual reason as to why I did poorly in the class. After all, getting 8 points below the average on a midterm should be no reason that I should be kept from Cornell....

^ Correct. Good Luck to all!!! :-)

So do you guys think they give out decisions based on completion…, or do they have a set date when they send out all GT decisions?
