I'm a little confused. It's short.

I am currently a freshman at community college, but I completed my senior year of high school at community college. So technically, this is my second year of college.
I am hoping to transfer to a university in the fall of 2011. Penn State University Main is one of my choices.
But on their website, it says that in order to transfer to Penn State Main, you need to have had 2 years of college. Does the fact that I completed my senior year at community college count as a year in college? Or will only my freshman year count? It doesn't say anything about needing to have a certain amount of credits.

Straight from their website:

Basic Transfer requirements

High school and college transcripts are required to complete a transfer application. SAT or ACT scores are not required if you have completed more than one semester of full-time college coursework after your high school graduation.

Transferring to Penn State University Park
Transfer students to Penn State University Park must have taken two years of full-time college coursework before the time of transfer.

Each academic college has its own criteria for transfer admission. Criteria for transfer admission may include specific course requirements and a minimum cumulative grade point average.

You’re currently in community college. You should know that it’s pretty typical for one full year of college to result in 30 credits. Thus, 2 years should be equal to 60 credits.
I assume that they want around 60 credits completed but you need to ask them specifically.

“Successful completion of the required coursework is not a guarantee of admission.”
^Did you take note of this statement on their website?

Okay thanks. I’m not looking into into Main anymore. I’m looking into a few of their satellite campuses.
