<p>A few days ago, numerous students who have ELC were notified of their admittance to UC Irvine, while a few others were not. I have already been notified of my UC Davic acceptance, but not UC Irvine. Could it be that I was not accepted? Or do you think that maybe they are sending it out in batches? </p>
<p>I also chose Civil Engineering as my major, and maybe those that chose engineering as their majors will have to wait more?</p>
<p>I’m so scared I didn’t get in. UCI is my number one school.</p>

<p>i dont think you really have anything to worry about… i mean its only february… and there are a lot of people who havent gotten acceptances/rejections from UCI yet</p>
<p>Don’t worry (yeah, I know it’s pretty hard), you have until the end of march to get a decision. </p>
<p>ELC is Eligibility in the Local Context, it’s for the top 4% of students in their CA high school.

<p>im worried too. quite a lot of people at my school have received acceptance letters and theyre not ELC while others (myself included) have not received any results. i havent heard of any rejections yet either. so what criteria does UCI send out their results on?</p>
<p>Last year, UCI sent out their letters in batches, even honors letters.</p>
<p>I’ve been told not to worry because I’m guaranteed in, but I can’t stop worrying. I guess we should not worry though. I am debating on calling their admissions office and asking them about it but I’m not sure how it will go.</p>
<p>Unfortunately you are not guaranteed admission. For all the ELC schools, UC Irvine is the most selective and will reject about 5% of the ELC eligible applicants. <p>There’s no point in calling. They aren’t going to tell you if you got admitted. Admissions go through March for ELC kids or not.</p>
