What does Duke generally emphasize in the application process. For example, test scores, extracurricular, GPA, talent, passion for the school, etc. I really want to go to Duke but my SAT scores aren't too good. I have a great GPA and good extracurricular activities. Also I want to do engineering so is it easier to get in than the regular school or is it typically harder to get in if i apply to engineering? Thanks.

I know this might seem a bit contradictory, but IMHO, it's easier to get into Pratt but the competition is stiffer.

By easier I mean that I think Pratt tends to emphasize the quantitaive aspects of the application more heavily such as test scores, GPA. Also the difficulty of your science curriculum and science related EC's. Personal essays and other things are still important obviously and the same adcoms who read trinity apps will likely also read pratt ones, but from the published statistics, Pratt admits tend to have higher math/science scores.

Of course, you also have to consider that students who apply to engineering tend to do better at math/science anyway, so that could also be a factor.

Essentially, the point is that it's a little more straightforward for Pratt in terms of what they look for but the competition among applicants is more intense because everyone's scores will be good.
