wow. I wish I was more of a perfectionist...

but KissMeKate.. if you are like that for the rest of your life, you will die REEEEALLY early from stress and high blood pressure. so just relax a bit. enjoy life!

and tennispro.

my mom would be VERY happy to save a son/daughter like you... lol

Well, I disagree with what's been said about KissMeKate. To some extent, I'm the same way. I think that it's definitely incorrect to say that
you will die REEEEALLY early from stress and high blood pressure. so just relax a bit. enjoy life!
. What if for some, to enjoy life is to be what has been termed a perfectionist? To not consider this, I think, is to incorrectly push one worldview (paradigm, maybe) onto another.

Then, smoke a doobey if you want to cure it! That will set your mind to a careless state (or at least I've heard... I'd never touch the stuff).

JoggerBlue82, I said that I recognize that it's an unhealthy habit, and I am trying to change it.

But since when we have to cry only when our families and friends died "right in front" of our eyes?

You don't know me; I've cried over worse things than "getting an A", but I don't find a need to tell CC all about my personal business.

^^
yes, i read that you are trying to change that. and that's a good thing because the sooner you fix it, the sooner you'll feel a whole lot better.
i never said that we only cry over drastic things, what i'm saying is that you crying over not getting that little plus sign next to your A makes you seem selfish, self-centered, and not focused on the right part of your education, but like you said, you're changing that and that's good.
p.s. of course i don't know you! i'm glad you don't post your personal life on the internet. i think that would be just as bad a habit as perfectionism.
you're not in high school yet, are you?

lots of people pretend to be perfectionists i noticed. i do hate however when people come to school with these huge, elaborate posters and projects that makes your look like crap even when you did put in good effort, they put in like hours upon hours. some of the projects are ridiculous, but its sweet when we get the same project grades because i met the project requirements anyways. when it comes to tests, i have nevered went back to check work which works well. in middle school, i would check work and then i would just change right answers. all the proclaimed perfectionists do that in my class and i end up beating their test by like 10 or so points.
