Okay.....then sign up for the October exam TODAY and start prepping for it. Get some advice on strategies too.....there are ways to improve the score. First semester of senior year is VERY VERY BUSY, so make sure you are organized. It sounds like you are, and you will be fine.

Good. Glad to know you are from Connecticut. That helps.

In Connecticut there is Connecticut College, UConn, and Fairfield University.

In New York there is Manhattan College (strong in engineering, math, sciences...a great little school), Sarah Lawrence, Fordham (one of my faves...but I am biased, my D is going there and LOVES IT..Bronx campus..and we are NOT New Yorkers. GREAT SPORTS, lots of fun, gorgeous campus, and strong programs. But NOT a party school.).

In Maryland: Goucher and Maryland. Both fine schools.

In Virginia: JMU and Virginia Tech. Both very pretty campuses, great sports and lots of fun with strong programs.

In NC: Elon (lots of kids from the northeast have "discovered" this little gem." One of the prettiest campuses in the country. VERY WARM student body and administration. Just lovely, lovely people. Good programs., Wake Forest (they are now SAT optional) and I think they will take a strong look at you because of your grades; NCState is well known for being strong in math, engineering and sciences. Top drawer sports. A really fun school. But its in Raleigh.

In South Carolina: Clemson (on your list), USC-Columbia...a wonderful school, somewhat more conservative but superb sports and quality of life, strong programs and just a really fun place to be, Furman. Furman is a GREAT school. A tad preppy, but the students there are really very friendly and happy. I know several kids there who love it. Academic school, but they have lots of fun too. GORGEOUS campus. Great sports.

Tennessee: Sewannee-Univ. of the South. An old line Episcopal school with a SUPERB reputation. Its a bit remote, outside of Chattanooga, but its a wonderland of beauty. They study hard and also play hard over there. But a really solid school.

Massachusetts, you can add Holy Cross, a sister college to Fordham. A fabulous school where you work hard, but also have fun.
