Hey guys!
So I am a Sophomore (Class of 2017) and I have already started wondering about college in freshmen year. So in freshmen year I had decent grades with an unweighted GPA of 3.72, while taking 3 Honors and 3 CP classes. This year I am taking two APs, AP US History and AP Physics, and everything else is Honors except for English (but I’m taking Honors English Next year). So the problem here is that I have a 3.2 unweighted GPA for my Sophomore year (expected). I have an A- in CP English, B+ in Chemistry H, B/B+ in Algebra 2 H, B/B+ in AP Physics, A- in French 2H and a C+ in AP US History…
So does my Sophomore year GPA ruin my chances for a good ranking college? I’m interested in International Relationships/Diplomatics, and I also speak 4 languages fluently (Mandarin Chinese, Hungarian, German and English, not in a particular order). I’m also learning French at school and Dutch at home(self-studying book).
So do my language skills compensate for my horrible grades? Do I still have a chance in Junior year (im taking equally hard classes, being Honors English, Honors French, Honors Biology, AP Economics, AP European History and Honors Pre-Calculus).
