Because we are not counselors or admissions officers, our words are futile.

We can say you are in, but you will fall harder when the opposite occurs instead.

^ exactly
Everything looks okay but you already knew that

^truth. Precisely why I choose not to chance others.

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using CC

lol. no i really dont know what my chances are. so youre saying im in?

Everyone here can say you are in. You become happy. You are confident you will be accepted. You are on top of the world.

Few days later, you get a notification saying they are sorry but cannot offer you an admission.
Two people just got rejected by UCSB with a 3.8 GPA

lawlking is basically saying we don’t want to get your hopes up. But if it makes you feel any better, I’d say you have a fair chance at UCLA and Berkeley while you have a good chance at SB. Take this with a grain of salt though, of course.

sean did you check ur ucsb profile? they sent out the 1st batch

^
yes, decision still pending. i got accepted into ucsd though.

@seanoh:I have the same exact stats as you for CAL. It’s only a matter of time. I have no idea what’s in store for us.

i second jason

your gpa is around average for ucla (i wish berkeley disclosed all the stats). given that there are only 3 prereqs for sociology, it’s real easy to be either rejected or admitted. i’m hoping you’re underrating your personal statements because that is likely gonna play the biggest role. moreover, i think 2 years of volunteering shows consistency, and it should help your application. i think berkeley will be slightly tougher, but still “fair”.

ok then chill out. some people are still pending for every school so far

@seanoh: Yeaaah, you have a better chance at CAL. It’s not as impacted as UCLA! GOOD LUCCCCKK :]

^
I fergot to add, I’m technically missing one prerequisite for Cal. I didn’t take the regular statistics but the social sciences statistics which fulfills the reqs for ucla but not cal. Do you think this is gonna have a big impact on the Cal decision?
