I'm afraid of getting my acceptance revoked....

Hey, i am so happy to be accepted!!!

Anyway, now that i am more settled down and back on cc, i've had some very scary thoughts on having my acceptance revoked.
My first semester grades might look like this:
AP Calc: B
AP Chem: C
AP La: B
Orchestra: A
Digitools:A
Street Law: A

Would two b's and one C get my admission revoked??? or what if they are three B's and three A's???? I know this hurts, but to shed some light I did have two b's and 4 A's one semester my junior year and I was still accepted so will I be alright????

However those grades are in tough ap classes, and ap chem is easy for me, but the teacher grades so hard that the highest grade in my class is a
86% B.

This is however, worst case scenario. It is possible for me to keep 3 A's and 3 B's, or maybe if i ace every test form here on out, 4 A's and 2 B's.

Is my dream already gone???? Plz tell me, am i just overreacting???

try to get your grades up and just pray.

i don't think theyll rescind your admission. but then again, you can never be sure...

i don't they will.

Unlikely, but get rid of the C no matter how much tutoring it takes.

of three AP classes weighted GPA would be 3.67. I would try to bring up C. Any English class?

they probably won't but try to raise that C at least.....

thanks guys, i will try my best to raise that C up to a B. The only thing is the grading in my ap chem class is so brutal, and like i said earlier the kid with the highest grade in my class has an 86%, with a majority of the other students i know that have low C's and D's right now.

Oh well, I have a nice 2 week break starting monday, so hopefully when I come back ill be ready to put forth my best effort for the month of january which is the last month for the semester.

I seriously doubt they're going to revoke it. I mean, you'd have to be failing your classes actually for them to do that. Plus, your classes are hard so they're going to understand that.

But everyone else is right; that C doesn't look too good. Work harder at it!

If your C in chem is actually one of the higher grades in the class, maybe you could get the instructor to write a note explaining his/her grading system and giving your class standing. Also, if this teacher has enough experience, perhaps he/she could make a guess as to how you might do on the AP exam, based on the quality of your work in class to date. In other words, do most of his B students get a 5? Do his C students usually score 4 or 5?

yea a majority of the kids get 5's from our school, and that is the only period of ap chem class offered.
Should i write the letter now informing them, or wait till its official?

Nah, they won't...they'll send a warning letter first, anyway...giving you both a chance to explain and time to bring your grade up! I got a B- in a math class I was taking online and they didn't bat an eye...
