I'm already in NYMC. Should I try applying to MathILY or HCSSiM instead?

Hi,

I’m a junior in high school. I already applied (and got into) the NY Math Circle program at NYU this summer, which runs from July 17-August 3. I’m wondering, should I try applying to MathILY/HCSSiM instead, which both overlap with this program?

I’ve already attended NYMC for 2 years; I thoroughly enjoy the program and have risen from a Level B to a Level C class this year. However, I’m worried that colleges will not look towards going to a single program for 3 years as favorably as going to a variety of programs. Plus, MathILY/HCSSiM seem more intensive, more selective (=> better on college apps, right?), and last longer (5/6 weeks vs. 3 weeks, not weekends, for NYU). I love working with math so I would look forward to enrolling in an 8-hour/day program.

However, the other 2 programs seem very expensive-- they cost >$4500. While I think my family will be able to afford this, this cost is 6x what we need to pay at NYU, which is only ~$700. We already paid a $155 deposit to hold my spot in NYU. Should I try applying to the other programs?
