I'm an exchange student that just got assigned to Hillside, my 7th choice..

<p>I really wanted to get into the residential colleges and experience that. Instead, they assigned me to the apartments, which I put as 6/7th choice. I'm really upset about it, so I was wondering if and how one goes about trading assignments, if anyone is interested or if it's even possible. </p>

<p>I'll be at Binghamton from late august to late december. </p>

<p>If anyone has any other ideas to fix my issue I'll be glad to hear it.</p>

<p>The most guaranteed way to change your assignment is to find someone who wants to switch rooms with you. You can also place yourself on a housing wait list, but the usefulness of this option depends on the number of forced triples and available spaces. You may request a room change (mutual or wait list) beginning the second week of the semester.</p>
