From UVa’s supplement, for those of you following along at home.

Scroll up and note the instructions for this section of the supplement:

SECTION C (Please review instructions. Applicants do not complete Section C unless applicant is under the age of 24 and financially independent or over the age of 24 and financially independent. Parent, spouse, or legal guardian must complete Section C on behalf of all financially dependent applicants or applicants claimed as dependents for state and federal income tax purposes.)

So, assuming you are like most undergrad applicants and not financially independent, you need to get your parent or legal guardian to fill out this section of the supplement.

Actually…this is in my section of an in-state tuition form…

There is an identical question in the parent section’s of the in-state tuition, but I am asked to complete my entire section and then if I answer “yes” to particular questions, then I must get my parents to fill out the second section.

They’ve already filled out their parts, but this question still remains in mine.

If I don’t earn income…how do I answer this question?
