I'm an idiot

Out of curiosity, what is my worst case scenario if I were to have maybe pulled the pin of a fire extinguisher in the hands of a very inebriated hallmate, and said fire extinguisher- without pin- were to have gone off, setting off the fire alarm, alerting the state school’s emergency responders. I understand the gravity of the situation, I was just wondering if in my position I might have any lee-way if I were to formulate some sort of excuse.

They took the pulled extinguisher and replaced it, for those following my poorly written story.

SOS

You were concerned about the safety of your hallmate and others. You tried to take the fire extinguisher and put it back. The pin was accidentally pulled as you tried to take the extinguisher from your hallmate.
Good luck.

I was cited an MIP (Minor in Posession) of alcohol in early November, did my state’s diversion program to a tee, and had the charges dropped just in time to apply to the colleges I am considering. So far, I have only heard back from 2 of the 5- UF and UA. The other three schools,UCF, FSU and USF- are making me a little nervous about their decisions simply because I haven’t got word back since I applied in December. [It isn’t a matter of whether “my grades are good enough”. I was accepted to UF’s honors program, and the other 3 schools admissions have lower minimums than that of UF’s.]

Time to start trying to AVOID trouble, instead of wiggling your way out of it…

Tell the truth. There is probably security camera footage of the incident.
