Race: Asian :/ Why wasn't I born as something "not Asian"?

Thanks! And good luck to everyone applying!

I rarely go this high, but your chances are 95%. If you don’t get in, especially ED, I’ll be really surprised.

Why would you even ask for chances :P

I’m pretty sure this is a joke

I’m not a current Cornell student, but I think you have a good chance. But being Asian, you never know how the admissions office is gonna roll.

I would make sure your essays are excellent. A lot of people have your stats and EC’s but even for them (and you) a bad essay WILL break them.

With a solid essay and early decision, I think you have a good chance, but, being that these are the Ivy’s, you never really know.

Good luck.

This isn’t a joke. I’m very serious about getting into a good school. I’m the child of immigrants, born in the arms of dreams. My family’s income isn’t that high, so I try my best at doing my best, not to just make my family proud, but also myself. I’m sorry, I’m just sensitive to times when people say I’m joking or I spend too much time on extracurriculars or studying.

No joke, if you don’t get in, I am going to take a gap year.

I think what people mean to say is that you have a wonderful chance of getting into Cornell. Good Luck!!!

Good lord, if YOU don’t have a chance, then I should just skip college.

Dude why Cornell then, you can go to Harvard :S… or something along the lines of that. Cornell is amazing but you of all people can aim a lot higher.

Auto Reject. You need to get those writing, lit, and spanish scores up.

Definitely a joke. If you are a Intel AND Siemens Semifinalist, then I’m pretty sure you would know what schools are at your level.

Nice try though!

Sorry buddy, your test scores are too low. Cornell is a reach for you.

I’m at Cornell, and I could promise you that I can speak for both me and all of my friends that you have a one-up on all of us. If you don’t get into Cornell, I’ll pee on the admissions office.

Assuming this isn’t a ■■■■■ post, you have an extremely solid chance. Just don’t mess up on your essays or completely screw up your interview and you should be good to go. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Why did you take 10 SATIIs?

@AznGambit, I was wondering if I can post just a few questions here. Let’s say I get into Cornell. Are there any research options in the area? One thing I really want to do is also go for aerospace engineering the future. I’ve asked the Cornell Admission Officer that came to visit our school about any aerospace engineering courses and such. She said she didn’t know and that I should perhaps contact another Admissions Officer. So I was wondering if it’s possible to go on such a route. I mean I will probably apply to graduate school, but I want a solid base created. Thanks a lot Gambit :)

@Woody, I took a SATIIs for every class I had. So for Spanish IV, I took the Spanish SAT II. However, I did take some tests on self-study. I have a fee-waiver, so it didn’t dent my parents’ pocketbooks.

@Everyone who says I’m a ■■■■■ :confused: I guess I should’ve just posted in another forum.

@Everyone else Thanks for the chance. Just a quick note though, I’m not 1st in class, so yeah… I’m not that great.

“Im not 1st in class…Im not that great”
■■■■■ spotted!
But seriously, I hope Cornell does not see this. It seems you have some sort of ego problem where you need good feedback to make you feel good.

how many APs have you had?
