hahahahahaha oh CC :p

Ill be honest and give a straightforwards answer:..yes

YUP. In fact, it is about 38 or so to many.

Too few!

It should be 49. One in each state, except I'll give you a break on Wyoming because it has only public colleges.

thts just crazy ....

I applied to 5 universities ED. One of them will take me. Otherwise, I can count on the 3 EA schools which are more like safeties.

You only applied to 48 schools? Pssh! You need like, 148 applications!!! What are you thinking man?!

are you serious?

I have a friend who applied to 18 schools and the counselor almost killed him

If you really applied to 48 schools, let's assume that each application fee was 50 bucks (even though theere are many college app fees that are 60 to 75). That means you paid 2400 worth of application fees alone.

then there is the cost of sendign scores, filling the college profile, stamps for recs (if your GC or teachers would even consider doing 48 recs) the cost does add up. I guess in the end you like mail

guess i'm just extremely insecure.

did anyone actually think i was being serious? c'mon!!!

This one international student actually did apply to 40 schools, just to see where he would get the best financial aid package.

what's wrong with applying to 48 schools???

...

...

hahaha many things!!! lol ohhhh CCers

Yes, 48 is too many.

so what is normal? what is too few, and what is just under too much?

I'd say about 237 is the right amount. ;)

No, all the cool kids apply to Princeton Review's 361 best. You cutting yourself short if you don't :)

well, if you applied to all the UC's, then you actually applied to only 40 colleges since u used the same app/essays for all 9 of the UC's. =)

atleast 2, no more than 10

You might as well just round it up to 50.
