Obviously Harvard, Yale, and Princeton are reaches because they’re reaches for everyone. However, you’ve got some pretty outstanding credentials and have about as good a chance as any non-legacy and non-uber wealthy people can have. The other Ivies are more likely, though by no means guaranteed: Brown, possibly, Columbia, possibly, Dartmouth, possibly. Cornell and UPenn, I’m going to go ahead and say yes, you will probably be accepted.

I’m not really impressed that much. All of your stats scream stereotypical Asian. Also, I doubt your essays will be that good b/c you seem to just be applying to every top school and don’t really know the differences among any of them.

Still, chances are good that you’ll get in one, but you are stupid if you don’t apply to a decent safety state school that you are basically guaranteed to get into, like UMich or UVA.

It seems that applying to ‘all the ivies’ is a bad approach to college applications. There are some serious fundamental differences in schools across the country, even within the Ivy League. I feel like you’re better off focusing on what schools you really like as opposed to just applying to everything because everyone else is applying to them…

The Ivy schools compare lists of who else is applying to their colleges, right? I heard that Collegeboard releases the list of schools you send your SATs to any college that asks for it…

That’s incorrect. No school knows what school you applied to unless you tell them. Furthermore, they don’t have the time or resources to go around investigating where you applied.

@ OP

Your scores are solid, and your EC’s are good and show focus [math]. That being said, go through each of the school’s websites and see where you fit in best, and only apply there. It’s okay to apply to multiple schools, but make sure that you actually like those places, or else you won’t be as productive.

You’re in at Rice. HYPM are reaches, and everyone else is a low reach/match. If you could return the favor, I’d appreciate it:
