Does the acceptance letter say anything about how many people were admitted out of how many applicants? I know in previous years Brown's transfer admit rate was ridiculously high....

No it didn't say anything about transfer stats.

So sorry to be anal, but when you say "somewhat big envelope," what exactly do you mean? Smaller than what you typically think of as an acceptance envelope? Sorry again, but as you are the only person who has heard, let alone gotten in, you are now the token acceptee!

"somewhat big envelope" like NOT the usual No. 10 envelopes you would see in the mail. How I know whether a person gets accepted or not is by the size of the envelope you get in the mail. Usually, if you get accepted, it's probably a "somewhat big envelope" and if you don't get accepted, it's USUALLY in a No. 10 envelope.

(when I say "somewhat big envelope," I mean about 13 in x 9.5 in)

Congrats!! may i ask you if you applied for financial aid, as well?

NOW, financial aid is EXCELENTE!!! lol I mean getting into Brown is great and all but to top it off, they're BASICALLY paying for everything. Well here it is:

This is the total tuition cost @ Brown:
Tuition & Fees: $34,620
Room & Board: $9,134
Books & Supplies: $1,128
Misc or Personal: $1,458
TOTAL EDUCATIONAL COST: $46,340

WHAT THEY GAVE ME (including scholarships, grants, loans, & work study):
$43,690 for the 06-07 school year.

That is amazing. I should have applied for financial aid. You've got a PM Buggz.

Nice work! Just shows you what taking a chance gets you in the end. Brown is one of the best college experiences on the planet, congrats.

Is that Vanndy? If it is, my love, I'm sooooooooo proud of you! We did it babes!

Congratulations!!! Wow, they gave you so much money..I am sure you deserve it! Was it compatible with what FAFSA said you needed?

Yes, it was compatible with my FAFSA. It's awesome! My parents won't have to worry much about paying the expensive tuition of over $46,000 a year, thank goodness! :-)

has anyone else heard? and I am confused as to whether transfers are being waitlisted. thanks
