I'm Better than You and I Know It!!! Chances.

heybucs: Thank you for your in-depth analysis. Hopefully you are right in your predictions but you never know with 29289240938029 qualified kids applying to the schools I mentioned. Where did you get your screenname from? Are you a Buccaneers fan?

Lunar Comet: Thanks for stopping by. I don't have access to my transcript right now, but I can tell you that my unweighted G.P.A is higher than 3.5; if I had to guess, probably 3.7. I think that my school's system is typical, but here it is (well, at least the parts that are important)

0.5 added for Honors
1.0 added for AP

(B-): 2.67 80-82%
(B): 3.00 83-86%
(B+):3.33 87-89%
(A-):3.67 90-92%
(A): 4.00 93-96%
(A+):4.33 97-99%

Off the top of my head, I can tell you that I do perform well in AP/honors, and have never finished a course (for the year) with less than an 88% (about 3 or 4 in the 88-89% range), although I am notorious for hanging around the A- range; I don't really "excel" in one particular area, just solid in most. I'm just not sure that you noticed I go to a competitive prep school; 100% of kids go to four-year schools, about 18% go Ivy, and we have tons of kids that go to Northwestern, etc. My G.P.A there is considered very good, but not outstanding.

Edit- I just remembered that I got a 4.4 W in my first term this year, so everything's looking good for the mid-year report.
