University of Texas

thats basically it because thats all i think i can get into :)

my mama said i should apply to the ivies and such and I wrote some applications to a few extra to schools like

Harvard
MIT
Yale
Princeton
Brown
Cornell
Carnegie-Mellon

Im pretty sure i dont have a chance at any of these (they are my dream schools O_O , but could i get some feedback as to how i would fair against these titans?)

My god. URM with those stats?

You've got a good shot at any of those. A REALLY good shot.

Well, you didn't have to give us your real name.

Troll.......

I am not the troll i only came to this forum because someone at my school said you guys were friendly.

come off of this troll business seriously dont ruin my thread :(

feedback PLEASE :( :(

I second the troll...

don't know if this person is real...and i can't believe you gave out your name.
But if its real, I think you have a great shot at all the schools because of your race.

alright.

I admit that That is not my name i dont believe in giving out personal information other than that which is neccesary online.

Thats ALL thats false.

thats not my name.

And for the two that gave feedback i GREATLY appreciate it. :)

anything else would be appreciated also

Hell, you'd have a great shot at most of these schools even if you weren't black. But IF you have the stats you say you do, and IF your school is what you say it is -- where are your GCs?? Aren't they advising you about where to apply and what to expect? Why aren't you also looking at Rice? Or Vanderbilt? Or Emory? Or UNC? Or Johns Hopkins? There are very excellent schools that aren't the Ivies, and that are more southern, and that you might like better.

And what, for God's sake, is "Aga Khan I-Star Suma Cum Laude Award"?????

secondly Im Not Familiar with The meaning of a GC?

EDIT: the aga khan I-Star Award is a Muslim Global Achievement award thats given to the top applicants of the community.(my family converted to islam a while back)

www.eduonline.net for more information

My friend has the same profile as you pretty much, if not, even better and she got deffered from Harvard for early decision. I'm sure she'll get in for regular processing though so you probably will too.

Texas A&M- far reach

Bob Jones University- match
Hawaii Pacific University- reach
Central Wyoming College- match
Shaw University- match
University of Southern Mississippi- match

bro,

Did i even say i wanted to go to any of those universities EXCEPT a&m? Wow...dude.... you must know nothing.

You're such a troll. What kind of perfect SAT scoring, top 3% of class student writes "0_0" or "=)" after every thing they type, doesn't understand sarcasm, or use proper grammar? Such a troll.

In the outside chance that you're not a troll...

they say there's never a sure bet for any ivy league hopefuls, but you'd be as close to a sure thing at those places as any prospective student I can think of.

2400 SAT---Honestly, I would consider Stanford....With all due respect, they always have hidden agendas/quotas they try to reach, and I'm sure that they can't find enough (if any) AA's as good as you...

"bro,

Did i even say i wanted to go to any of those universities EXCEPT a&m? Wow...dude.... you must know nothing."
Dude, I'm sorry for telling you the truth. Look on the bright side, you might get into UNLV if you go for an interview.

I don't think he should go for an interview; internet courtesy is usually translated into personal skills and it sounds like this guy lacks them, from the weird discrepancy between his scores/courseload and typing/grammar/critical reading skills.

Which also makes his SATs look like a lie.

Anyhoo, in the event that this is not a troll, you should have a good chance wherever you apply. Enjoy your affirmitive action.

B'cuz teh wai we type shorthnd online is so very rep of our usual wrtn ability?

NOWAI!

Yeah, a bit dubious, but meh. I'm (and was) feeling lenient.

I agree; probably a troll, since the word "suma" has two "m's" in it and anyone who got such an award would know it. Also, when I click on the link OP provided, it requires a user ID and a password. So I still don't know if it's legit.
