that was entirely too long
so here goes nothing

For Olin. . . stats so-so, but ECs excellent. Essays and recs could make the difference.

Thanks to you both! I hope you’re right about Olin - would love to go there.

Very interested in getting more opinions - and supporting rationale, if possible. Thanks in advance!

Got my admit from Tulane yesterday.

Anyone on any of the rest?

why isnt “bringing sexy back” on your ec’s?

Yeah, for reals.

Seriously, though, you have a good shot at Olin. Probably yes for Rose Hulman, Cornell/MIT/UChicago seems like a reach unless you have a crazy good essay, Hopkins/Caltech is might be a no, but you never know. Case Western is probably a yes. It’s hard to judge because your EC’s are pretty solid, so I wouldn’t rule anything out for now.

I might just revise those ECs…yeah…

bump bump !

Sooooooooo, anyone care to add?

SATs not good enough for MIT, Olin, CalTech, Cooper Union

Only apply to reaches if you truly want to go to those places
keep in mind you should have some safe matches. you’re fine. might get more rejections than acceptances, like my counselor told me XP But i’d be happy going to any of my reaches.

Thanks! At this point, I have some ideas of where I ultimately want to go, but there are so many fantastic programs available that it’s going to be a tough choice!

Don’t include Ayn Rand essay contest as an EC unless you’ve won something.

your test scores are too low for MIT/Caltech…i don’t think they accept ppl with less than 799.99999999999999 Math scores :)
