Im ready to ask some of my teachers for letters of recommendation. I will be graduating next year already. Once my teachers write their letters of recommendation, do they send it automatically to the colleges I am applying to? What if I havent even applied yet? I dont get it. Somebody please help me. I know everyone says to ask for letters of rec in advance and so I am but then again how does it work for it to get sent?</p>
<p>Ask your school. Sometimes they send out teachers LORs with their own forms which they send for you. Otherwise, having a LOR sent in before your application is not a big deal. They get lots of those. Just make sure your name and HS are clearly on the LOR. They’ll be matched with subsequently submitted items.</p>
