I don't know how to fill out my college application, can someone help me?

I know that I have to fill out the general, overall form first, then go to the supplements. But then I'm stick. How do I make the payments to the school, and how do I get fee waivers if I have to? Also, what is this talk about the school forms that you have to submit?

And do you have to mail the colleges your essay? And your recommendations? Does your school have to send the recommendations in a marked envelope or can you send them yourself? Photocopied?

Thanks to anyone who can help me. I'm really confused here about what to do.

First you fill out the Common App for schools that accept it. Some schools on the Common App will require additional material, so you fill those out too. For schools that don’t use the Common App, just go to their website and fill everything out there. Everything is pretty self-explanatory and most schools do a very explicit job of telling you what they need from you.

All electronic college apps, including the Common App, should have a section (either one you can jump to or one that pops up after you’ve finalized everything and are about to submit your app) where you pay whatever fees they charge (it’s a mandatory step and you probably won’t be able to submit your app without paying them off). For the common app, you’ll be charged a set fee ($55?) for each school you send your app. I’m not sure how it works if you’re mailing everything.

Idk how to get fee waivers lol so just ask your GC or something.

Most colleges will have everything online. Your recommendations and transcript should be mailed from your school by your GCs to the schools you’re applying. Just bring your request for a transcript (if your school offers one), your recommendations (photocoppied if necessary), and empty envelopes (marked with the schools’ names and addresses) as well as stamps (I think it was 2 per envelope). Your GC will take care of the rest.
