So in these stats everyone keeps talking about how they get that note on the app status page that says theyre a top candidate and is basically guarunteeing them that theyll get in. I have better stats than many of them, and dont quite understand why im not getting this message... anyone know how this works? or am i just freaking out for no reason...?

I took a quick look at your other posts–you are OOS, right? You will hear no later than the end of February–that is outside date by which all decisions will be released.

[Admission Decisions | Freshmen | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/freshmen/after-you-apply/decisions/)

There are various reasons some people have already heard back, e.g., Some honors colleges release rolling decisions. In-state students who are in the top 8% of their class are “auto admits” by law. UT is using “likely letters” this year to quickly tell some top applicants they’re in, but stand by for a decision on 1st/2nd choice major/college. There are other scenarios, too–enough to create anxiety for all who haven’t heard!

But bottom line, there is plenty of hope to go around until the end of February.

Good luck!

Don’t worry about it. I got no such message last year, and I got in with some pretty nice scholarships!
